Siddhant speaks:
I have stayed in Gujarat for a long time, so very well aware of the authenticity of the food served there be it saurashtra region, or kutch.
My First experience in Rajdhani was in the year 2007 in Rajkot. Rajdhani in Mumbai is a lot different.
Food quality has declined in these years, though it is still good. But I did not find it as tasty as it was 4 years ago. I still remember the smell and taste of food consumed then.

Coming Back to present, I found the outlet a bit busy. The outlay of restaurant makes the message clear of getting more "table turnover". This place is not to sit and chat. You have your food  in front of you, eat it, praise it or make a disgusting expression and simply leave.

Service is good. The staff is decent and would listen to your request.
Food is good- but people who know about undiyo, would complain about it. It was just an AVERAGE UNDIYO that I had.
Paneer is seldom used in gujarati food, but the modifications have been done in and paneer is incorporated in one of the dishes.
Not worth a try.
Two amazing Daal offered - "tikha" and "meetha"..
the rest of the food is good too..worth for the money you pay..ONLY IF YOU WANT A PURE VEGETARIAN MEAL.
They would offer you khichdi but plain rice is also served on request.

YES THIS GUJARATI MEAL ALSO INCLUDES DAAL BAATTI, WHICH HAPPENS TO BE RAJASTHANI.
I could not figure out why they serve it. My suggestion- GO, EAT & FIND OUT. YOU WOULD ASK FOR MORE!!

  1. Ive been to Rajdhani in Dubai and I can probably say the same thing. The authenticity of the food is compromised thanks to table turnover being the main focus. Its just as expensive there too.
I think they've become too commercial.
It's always busy in Dubai as well.
Really though, will I be asking for more?
I'm not sure I shall be able to feed you good food, but I blog too. About desserts particularly though.

  2. Siddhant : Thank you for following our blog. It is perfectly alright if you don't feed us good food. We would make sure that you find good places to do so in Mumbai.
